On May 26, 1963 Ground Breaking Services were held on the grounds for our church to be built.  Young Construction Company of Falls of the Neuse was the contractor.  Our Sanctuary and Educational Plant cost $43,000.  The pews, organ, piano, air-conditioning, chairs, and equipment for the Sunday School rooms cost and additional $6,581, making a total of nearly $50,000 debt when we entered our building for our first worship services which were held on October 26, 1963.

Our Dedication Service was held November 17, 1963.  The third Sunday of this month is set aside as our Homecoming each year and is known as our “Harvest Day.”

Time goes by and we keep growing and the Lord continues to bless us greatly.
